About Christopher Benson

Hello,My name is Christopher Benson and I currently function as the Executive Assistant to the DSS Director for Cleveland County Department of Social Service, I provide executive level support to the director and deputy director, and implement and manage the departmental Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) program. I facilitate and lead the agency DEI committee, which focuses on staff development, education, retention, and building resilience. I also coordinate human resources, employee relations, and strategy development for the department.I have a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from North Carolina Central University, where I made the Dean's List for three consecutive years, and a diploma in Project Management from North Carolina State University. My skill set is very diverse and focuses in areas of program management, strategic planning and result-based data management.
