Director of Labor Relations with over 20 years’ experience in roles of increasing responsibility in all aspects of human resources, labor relations, diversity and inclusion in a variety of environments, from leading U.S law firms counseling Fortune 500 companies, to in-house counsel positions, to my current human resources departmental leadership role. Headquartered in Los Angeles, SoCalGas is the largest natural gas distribution utility in the United States. SoCalGas is a subsidiary of Sempra Energy, a Fortune 500 company, based in San Diego, California. Sempra is the parent company to SoCalGas, San Diego Gas & Electric, Sempra South American Utilities, Oncor Electric Delivery Company, Sempra Mexico, and Sempra LNG & Midstream. With employees worldwide, the Sempra Energy companies develop energy infrastructure, operate utilities, and provide related products and services to more than 29 million consumers worldwide. I was formerly the acting Assistant General Counsel for Regulatory Law, a position I held for two years. Prior to that role, I was senior counsel for labor and employment with Sempra Energy. Prior to joining Sempra, I was a senior associate in the Los Angeles office of Paul Hastings LLP, specializing in employment litigation (including class action and complex wage/hour litigation) traditional labor law, and advice and counsel to employers in a variety of industries. I am a graduate of Hofstra University (B.A. 1994) and Northeastern University School of Law (J.D. I am admitted to practice in federal and state court in California, Massachusetts and Maine. I am also admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals where I have handled several cases.
