Background
About Christopher Blackburn
With a decade of experience in Retail—spanning Buying, Finance, and Operations—I transitioned into the Education sector driven by a passion for improving outcomes supporting student development. My journey began with TeachFirst, where I earned my PGDE and received exceptional support, allowing me to immerse myself in the classroom and commit to helping young people reach their full potential.I am excited to step into a new role of Director of MFL at the outstanding Harris Girls Academy Bromley where I will be accountable for student progress and development in Modern Foreign Languages across KS3, KS4, and post-16 education. I will also oversee the pastoral support for one form of entry across the year groups, ensuring the effective implementation of our tutor program. In addition to my role in the classroom, I have been serving as a school governor since 2019, where I contribute to strategic oversight and support the continuous improvement of educational standards.
