About Christopher Boyer

I am passionate about computers, technology and documentation. I believe that communication plays a vital role in the success of any job. I enjoy helping others understand how they can use technology in ways that best suit their needs. This is a passion that I have grown to love and take great pride in. I also love getting to learn and teach others about ways that they can be more secure in the ways that they utilize technology. My main objective for the future is to pursue a career in Information Security and/or IT Compliance. Eventually I would like to become an Information Security Compliance Manager or IT Compliance Manager. The most challenging obstacle I've faced so far in my IT/Information Security career is implementing HIPAA Compliance and developing our Incident Response process. When I was selected to head up both of these projects, I knew absolutely nothing about either of them. Given my love of learning new things and the research skills I'd learned as an English Major at Illinois State University, I was able to bring myself up to speed, and anytime I had questions about HIPAA I would reach out to HIPAA Compliance partner at The Compliance Group. Both projects were successfully implemented, and my knowledge of security and risk has greatly expanded as a result.
