About Christopher Broderick
I am a researcher working in theoretical/computational condensed matter physics. I hold B.Sc.(Hons.) and Ph.D. degrees in physics from University College Cork, Ireland. I have a strong grounding in the physical and mathematical sciences, as well as significant experience in scientific computing and the associated development of bespoke software. My current research interests and expertise include the electronic, optical and spin properties of condensed matter (with a particular focus on novel highly-mismatched and direct-gap group-IV semiconductor alloys), as well as the theory and design of semiconductor materials and nanostructures for applications in future and emerging photonic, photovoltaic and microelectronic technologies.
