About Christopher Burky

Hello and nice to meet you! I’m Christopher Burky and I have a very long career in the customer service and public relations industry. I graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where I focused on Mass Media and Public Relations in my Communications Studies degree, while pursuing a minor in music/public performance. While at WCU, I took numerous courses on different types of communication, media outlets, and pursuing a higher level of competency in mass media input. While my studies were enjoyable, I could also usually be found at the School of Music where I also spent my time in many extra-curricular classes on the field in marching band or in the class/on stage with the choir and concert band ensembles. Most of my connections and friends came from these wonderful organizations, along with being in a band co-ed fraternity while another fraternity focused on spreading the joy of music throughout the community. Following school, I had different careers to see what was the right path was for me to continue and refine my public relations background. While it took me a bit, I am all the better for every single experience and connection I made. I even became a healthcare staff member for nearly 2 years which is a full 180 from what I was in school for. While my time with Tower Health was the most extensive time wise, I was able to build my connections there which has led me to my current and most ambitious career opportunity yet. I get to help the Berks County incarcerated community get back on their fee and become productive members of society. I get to work with a wonderful non-profit program to help those most in need all while having an amazing director and two co-executive directors to lead the way. Of course, while having a meaningful workplace, I am still fortunate enough to perform on weekends with the Reading Buccaneers- a highly competitive and successful music organization that I have been with consistently throughout my collegiate snd post-collegiate years.
