About Christopher C. Leite

I am an accomplished project manager with experience managing complex public and private sector projects, especially related to digital and process integration (Lean Six Sigma certified), as well as strategic planning and organizational behavioural analysis. I also have a PhD in Politics, focusing on emergency management policy and response practices in overlapping jurisdictions. I am currently managing special projects for the Regional Municipality of Halton, including launching a new Business Continuity Program and coordinating the Region's changeover to the Next Generation 9-1-1 system. I led Halton's Emergency Management program in my previous role as the Region's Chief of Emergency Management. I was formerly a Senior Emergency Management Coordinator for the Region and a Disaster Management Program Coordinator for the Canadian Red Cross. A proven people leader, I also have formal leadership training from the governmental, non-governmental, charity, and academic sectors, while also serving in mentorship roles in all sectors.
