About Christopher Candy

With 20 years of experience in public transport, I am a passionate and skilled manager who oversees the operations and services of Tranzit Group, one of the largest family-owned and operated coach companies in New Zealand. As an Area Manager, I provide support to our teams to ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of quality transport solutions for our customers and stakeholders. As a Depot Manager, I lead and supported a team of drivers, dispatchers, and administrators who provided urban bus services for Hawke's Bay. I was responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, and maintaining the fleet, as well as ensuring compliance with health and safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. In addition to my transport management roles, I am also a published author of children's books, which combines my love of writing and storytelling with my knowledge and experience of the public transport industry. I have written and published two books so far, Comet the Red Bus: Around the City, and Comet the Red Bus: Comet Goes to the Beach, which are both fun and educational stories for young readers.
