About Christopher Chaparro

I have been in the games industry for over 10 years. I started off at Full Sail University where I was a student and then taught game design at the bachelor's level. During my time teaching I helped found a zero sum studio named Mutton Head Games. Its focus was on small puzzle games that could be ported over to XBox live. Unfortunately the studio never got off the ground. An opportunity opened up with Midway near the end of the life of Mutton Head Games, so I moved out to Austin Texas. After Midway I had the opportunity to work as a content designer and consultant for Capcom through a short contract. After that contract concluded I took a hiatus to enjoy the holidays while volunteering for a charity fund raiser called Scare for the Cure. I had a short contract with Critical Mass Interactive at the beginning of the year doing tech/system design and research involving the BigWorld engine before I landed at Kaos Studios in New York to do tech design for their AI systems and single player systems. After Kaos closed its doors in 2011 I moved up to Albany and had commuted to NYC while doing contract work for Ogmento. After Ogmento I did small projects here and there and in 2014 helped ship the SkyTrak project with PartTimeEvil. The opportunity to go back to school to pursue my bachelors presented itself so I have taken advantage. I am currently attending the State University of New York, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies, with a major focus on Japanese linguistics and religious studies.
