About Christopher Chirdon

I'm an upbeat project manager and educator who enjoys working on novel problems and engaging with the community around me. I hold secondary science certificates in both Physics and Biology but my interests in education are far broader. Among my policy and research interests are improving equity, understanding how intersectionality differentially impacts access to resources, and culturally responsive pedagogy. I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Education Policy Studies. As the co-founder and Director of Walk Bike Shaler, I have a keen interest in grassroots organizing and working with regional municipal and advocacy allies to improve bike/ped mobility with attention to inclusionary practices (DEI, ADA, etc.). To develop our impact, I built trust with local government and established constructive working relationships with local and regional elected officials.
