About Christopher Cox

A native of New York City, having grown up and spent time in the boroughs of the Bronx and Brooklyn. I attended High School at Dewitt Clinton High School in the Bronx, graduating in the summer of Coaches noticed Chris’s Athletic talents from Morningside University, located in Sioux City, Iowa. I began my career as a student athlete, playing football for head coach Steve Ryan and the Morningside Mustangs. Starting with a major in Mass communications, I found my way towards the business side of education and graduated with a degree in Organizational Management. My career has encompassed being a Programs Director at the Orthman Community YMCA, a Social Worker for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, and a Wraparound REACH Care Coordinator at La Causa in Milwaukee, WI. He has continued to mentor and coach youth as a Football coach throughout his career. I reinvested in my creative side, always keeping a spark for film, video, and photography and starting with small videos for the local YMCA, a personal podcast, and corporate headshots for his wife, Gladys. This led to the spark becoming a roaring fire, so when my wife gladys and I sat down and talked about starting a non-profit, incorporating media and content creation was an easy choice. While I am the Media Director of United By Culture, My other passion is football. Currently, I am the 8th-grade Football Coach for Lexington Middle school. Coaching allows me to coach and mentor a diverse group of young men and women. I call Lexington, Nebraska, my home, and my wife Gladys and two children, Esperanza and Cannon. When I am not working, I enjoy watching movies, playing and watching football, writing short stories and poems, and creating inspirational videos. Hosting his anime and pop culture podcast entitled Big Blerd, as well as spending time with his wife Gladys, their two children Esperanza, Cannon, and their dogs Tilly and Apollo
