About Christopher Crane
People want to know how I do this work and that part is easy. It's a process that involves a lot of specialized chemicals, equipment, steel, layering, proper timing and my artistic vision. What is not easy is to describe is the thousands of hours it took to arrive at that process. To me that was the innovation, obsessively dissecting all the possibilities. Innovation is the process of killing off all the bad solutions to an impossible problem. I have a tiny but mighty studio in the back of my home in historic Clarksville, in Austin TX. There, in the local tradition I nurture moon shot ideas and off the map artistic visions into reality. I work primarily with corporate collectors from Deloitte to Charles Schwab to startups and private collectors. Most of my clients are problem solvers and innovators and are looking for art that is of the same ilk.
