About Christopher Day

As the former co-owner of Event Planning International Corporation (EPIC) in Charlotte, North Carolina, I developed most line-of-business e-commerce systems to manage the trade show, conference, and event registration work flows – standalone and web-based. Following the merger with Expo Logic, I worked as the Director of Product Development before ultimately leaving the organization in 2018 to broaden my skills as a consulting software generalist. I am equally at home functioning as a project manager as I am developing code in Microsoft Visual Studio. My typical day is divided between heads down coding and creating detailed functional specifications as a software architect for my development team and outsourced resources. I prefer Microsoft platform and development technologies which include Azure DevOps for project management and Microsoft Azure as a deployment target. The push towards open source always keeps things fresh for modern application development. Self-study and micro learning new libraries and skills is an exciting part of my career. I have experience developing software that leverages peripheral hardware as well as coding middleware to integrate SaaS and related internet services. My legacy IT and developer experience span the direct mail, communications, non-profit, and event registration industries. I enjoy spending time with family and traveling often for work and leisure. As a hobby, I am keenly interested in mobile devices, related technologies, and their applications.
