Results-driven finance, administration, and operations leader with more than 24 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. I developed a successful track record of improving operations, reducing costs, and achieving ambitious corporate objectives through a leadership-by-example management style.Since 2021 I have managed CRO contracts, as well as CRO contract processes, in Vendor Outsourcing at Gilead Sciences. I currently serve as Associate Director, leading the oncology Phase 1b-3 global CRO contracts team.From 2008 to 2021, I served in critical leadership roles with Prothex Pharma (previously Drais Pharmaceuticals), a VC-funded startup biotech company. As Vice President, Finance & Administration, I oversaw all operational functions for the company.My achievements include: Spearheading the development of a comprehensive operational infrastructure for the company. I worked closely with the CEO and senior executive team to establish company mission and long-term strategic plans. Establishing the company’s financial management foundation. I devised controls and systems governing all financial functions, including P&L management, financial reporting, general accounting, budgeting, forecasting, insurance, and risk management. Planning, coordinating, and overseeing multiple, simultaneous clinical trials (Preclinical, Stage I, and Stage 2). I negotiated vendor contracts for clinical services and ensured compliance with project objectives, including data quality, timelines, and budgets. Securing investments for seven multiyear drug development projects, as well as substantial funding through state/federal grant programs for research startups. Serving as Treasurer and Financial Officer for three Prothex-managed virtual companies. Generating multimillion-dollar savings through vendor negotiations, project scope management, strategic planning, financial management, and effective use of resources.Prior to joining Prothex Pharma, I managed operational functions for clinical projects for a startup, VC-funded pharmaceutical company. I also negotiated more than 100 clinical service agreements for Phase 1, 2, and 3 clinical trials for a major global pharmaceutical company.
