About Christopher Denegre

I am an Assistant Director of Admission at Connecticut College, working mainly in our 'Northern New England' territory (Western MA, VT, ME, NH and Litchfield County, CT). I also work with our Marketing/Communications team and help with messaging and copyediting. I graduated Summa Cum Laude as an Honors Student from Saint Michael's College with Distinction in English. I minored in French and studied abroad in the south France and Quebec during my undergraduate years. My coursework largely surrounded Writing/Editing; American, British (particularly Irish), and French/Francophone literature; and Classical/Medieval/Modern foreign languages, those being Latin, Old English, and French. While at Saint Mike's I also worked as a library circulation specialist, an archival assistant, and played various editorial and writing roles for the Onion River Review, St. Mikes' literary magazine. I'm fascinated by language and its role in facilitating connection between human cultures separated by both time and geographical space. I speak French and English at a professional level, and Russian and Spanish at an intermediate level. When I don't have my nose in a novel or language textbook, I love to hike, write, and listen to music from around the world.
