I am a veteran reporter with more than 17 years of experience breaking news, writing enterprise stories and quickly filing reports to wire services, websites, newspapers and other platforms. My expertise is tackling complex topics in a way that can be easily understood by a diverse readership, from C-Suite executives to farmers in rural Iowa. I thrive writing spot stories under deadline pressure, but I also can seamlessly transition to writing a detailed, informative enterprise piece. On the web, I've embraced the chance to provide readers with a more immersive experience, combining multimedia and traditional storytelling in a format that keeps readers engaged. I have spearheaded development of new computer programs that allow readers to quickly and more efficiently view important data before similar information is available from my competitors. When I'm not breaking news or spending time with my wife and son, I enjoy swimming and running.
