About Christopher Doyle

Hi, welcome to my blurb. To date, the bulk of my work experience has been in ecology, environmental science and food production, and it has been really useful to be able to apply learnings across the three sectors which are, of course, interdependent. It's hard to produce food if you don't have a functioning baseline ecosystem. I am currently enjoying my career as ecologist and have had so may opportunities to work on a nice mix of projects on a range of scales, from ecological monitoring on national road construction to giving biodiversity talks in rural villages. When I'm not in a field with a hand lens or bat detector, I'm continuously trying to learn more about ecology, which I am slowly discovering is in fact the study of everything. During the Pandemic I went back to college to study Bioeconomics, which focused on how we have to restructure our current production systems (food, energy, materials etc.) to be based on renewable natural resources.
