About Christopher Ells

I am an experienced CNC Programmer with a demonstrated history of working in the manufacturing industry. I am skilled in CNC G-code, Microsoft Word, SolidWorks and Manufacturing. To accompany my experience, I have a certificate in CNC Programming from The University of Texas at Arlington and a certificate in Gunsmithing from Trinidad State Junior College. The gunsmith program taught me critical thinking and attention to detail. These skills have served me well in helping bring new products to market. I have been involved from idea conception to final production. Because of this, I have an uncommon comprehension of the requirements for this process. As the ideas are born, lists of features that are required and desirable to the project are put together. They are then weighed with manufacturability and cost to see if it lines up with marketability. This process includes, not only thinking of how a product can be manufactured but, also prototyped and tested for design ideas and intent. This results in reducing excessive cost and time to market. The use of SolidWorks on a daily basis helps to model 3D parts, draft their blueprints, create assemblies and draft drawings to show geometry used in manual entry G-Code programming for CNC machines.
