About Christopher Fernandez

During the time I spent at ASU, my passion for architecture has only grown and even a spark of interest in Urban Planning and the design theories behind it has taken root. I have been able to use experiences, lessons, and techniques from the planning courses in my architecture studio designs. It has even allowed me to make statements with my architecture and designs. Over the semesters, the projects and prompts have allowed me to find what interests me the most as well as make use of my concurrent major. The projects have helped educate me in both time management as well as learn about leadership in many group settings. As a personal interest I have become fascinated by designing for dense urban environments, meshing design with function for those who inhabit the spaces. Big beautiful buildings that make the best use of new design technologies are amazing, however when designed with people and function in mind they truly flourish. It’s an idea I wish to continue to explore, strengthen and improve on as I continue my studies in architecture as well as beyond into the professional world.
