I chose to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering after two years of experience as a mechanic in the professional sports car racing industry. For the first three years of college I worked as a CNC milling machinist, and I was able to continue that experience by designing and machining components for my industry sponsored capstone project. I want to combine my mechanical background and teamwork skills from racing with my engineering education, and bring these traits to a defense industry contractor. My goal is to be employed as a mechanical design engineer, or manufacturing engineer, working on large-scale military projects.
