About Christopher Gass

With over 10 years of public safety experience, I am a data-driven Operations Systems Coordinator at Snohomish County 911, one of the largest emergency call centers in Washington State. I am also a certified Communications Training Officer (CTO) instructor and am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Data Management and Data Analytics. As an Operations Systems Coordinator, I develop and implement data-driven solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of emergency dispatching and response. For example, I created an offline fire unit recommendations engine in Python that reduced fire apparatus response time by several minutes during outages of the primary dispatch software. I also work with external developers to scope, test, and troubleshoot a new offline dispatch product, conducting end user testing and bug reporting throughout the development stages. As Training Supervisor, I leveraged my expertise in training development, emergency management, and continuity of operations planning to support and supervise the new dispatchers and their trainers in handling large scale emergency events and providing quality service to the public and the agencies we serve.
