About Christopher Gates

I am passionate about challenging senior leaders with creative - technology centric - ways to address problems. Using the empathy gained through my public and private experience I bring insights into their current operations. By applying my broad understanding of technology and what it is capable of I can pitch business relevant ideas to them. My success is reflected by the number of these that get converted to action. My areas of expertise include stakeholder management, complex sales strategy development, innovation, design thinking, coaching & mentoring and team leadership. I have been a committee member of the AIIA (Australia Information Industry Association) and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). From a company leadership perspective I am comfortable with having full P&L accountability and understand the economic ratios pertaining to R&D, Customer Care, Professional Services and Sales/Marketing. I also understand each of these cost based and how I need to influence any of these teams to optimize Gross Profit - as well as a long history of sales to aid in the generation of net new business or increased profitability from existing clients.
