About Christopher Gravenstein

I am a goal oriented individual who will achieve any set goals no matter how difficult the road may be. I don't look for shortcuts to achieve my goals. I strive to be the best at what I do by always learning outside my scope of work. I grew up a competitor who played sports my whole life and believe that I carry the same tenacity in my professional career.My background in the airline industry, restaurant industry, and State Government, has allowed me to possess strong written and verbal communication skills that allow me to speak to a diverse group of people. I believe that my Business Management background has allowed me to possess a strong ability to speak to the public and adjust to other demographics. It has also given me strong skills in Multitasking, working as a team, working as an individual, and the ability to be a great manager.I currently work for the State of Nevada Division of Environmental Protection as a Compliance and Enforcement Inspector for our Water Pollution Control Bureau. Specifically, my duties entail conducting compliance inspections on state issued stormwater permits. These permits are issued under the Federal Clean Water Act (CWA). I have recently began to broaden my scope of work by conducting compliance inspections with other bureau permits outside the stormwater scope. I also am a team member that investigates Spill Reports that are called into our hotline to ensure proper clean up and/or the need for enforcement actions. The goal is to protect human life and the environment.I'm sure there is plenty more that i can say but, i would like to demonstrate these skills and abilities in person.
