About Christopher Halm
I'm a history and chemistry educator, holding degrees from Heidelberg University and a Ph.D.(Dr. des.) in History of Science from the University of Regensburg. The German Chemical Society's history workgroup recognized me with the newcomer award for my doctoral thesis on 18th-century agricultural chemistry. I have received fellowships from institutions such as the Heinrich-Böll Foundation, the Science History Institute, the Deutsches Museum Munich, the Leibniz Research Alliance, and the Linda Hall Library. My main research concerns the history of chemistry on a global scale and across the centuries. I have a strong interest in the historiography and epistemology of spaces of knowledge production, particularly laboratories, fields, and museums. My new research project explores the global technocultures of lunar rocks.
