About Christopher Harper

A uniquely diversified Fellow Certified Management Consultant (FCMC), Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) and as the Executive Director with CMC-Canada, I work to help grow the management consulting profession in Canada and passionately serve our members and volunteers. Having entered consulting early in my career, I have developed a strong cross-functional expertise across public and private sector finance, accounting, human resources, information technology, asset management, and various other business domains which I use to integrate functions and create greater operational effectiveness and value for stakeholders. My key strength is in helping organizations build the capabilities needed to seize opportunities and manage challenges by creating consensus on a path forward and supporting stakeholders on that journey. A natural creator of energy, I drive the movement and focus of my teams in the direction which supports delivering on the established objectives. I am quickly able to pivot between strategic and functional perspectives of the organization, ensuring alignment between operational activities and strategic outcomes. I am trained to correct misalignments between internal functions, organizational objectives, and stakeholders. On projects I have had various roles including senior business analyst, project manager, and management consultant. Like a Swiss-Army knife, I am able to apply multiple tools based on the context and challenge before me, pulling from my diverse experience and knowledge. My influence-based leadership style encourages others to perform well as individuals and as a team. I have high expectations of my own performance as well as my team's performance; however, am always willing to help and support each team member in executing to their best potential.
