Dr. Christopher Highley has over 25 years of experience in the primary care medical space. Having worked on the front line of healthcare, Dr. Highley has garnered an acumen of skills at the point-of-care treating patients of all ages with just about every conceivable problem. He is not only passionate about patient care but optimizing the experience for both the doctor and the patient. Dr. Highley trained and served as a U.S. Army physician prior to settling in Northern Nevada in 2003. He built a thriving traditional family practice as a partner of an independent medical group in Carson City for 15 years. He transitioned to an insurance-free, highly-personalized, private practice aptly named, Preferred Family Medicine in September 2018. A forward thinker, Dr. Christopher Highley is always looking to push the establishment with innovative ideas/solutions, especially in health information technology. In 2014 he launched Cirrus Medical Network, Inc, a direct primary care telemedicine platform. He bootstrapped the development of an all-in-one cloud-based solution for independent physicians interested in building their own virtual practices. This project is continuing to evolve as the direct-to-consumer healthcare market is ever-changing.
