Many years ago, I had difficult experience in transferring my cable services from one apartment to another within the same complex. I made the call, ordered the transfer, and even got a confirmation number. After I got everything moved over, all seemed well. The next day, nothing worked. It took 17 calls, three technicians, and two supervisors, to finally get it all straightened out. The cable service was good - the customer service was horrible. The problem was poor communication between the agents and technicians, and a severe lack of compassion, empathy, and any sense of urgency. Why does it have to be that difficult? What happened to focusing on providing excellent service to every customers? It was at this time that I realized my calling. My entire life, I have been a facilitator. In high school, I was the connective tissue in my group of friends; in college, I was the one organizing study groups and tutoring; I volunteered with the Hillsboro Police Department as a Police Cadet; and I have spent my career in sales and customer service positions, I approach every situation with compassion, empathy, and sympathy. I believe in the employment of a single point of contact, following a logical approach, and one-call resolution. It's really not that hard.is it?
