My passion, as it were, is found in the somewhat esoteric field of ‘use-of-force’ (UoF). It has been my great joy and privilege to work with increasingly more UoF subject matter throughout my career, continuously refining my knowledge and doing my utmost to provide valuable insight to my clients. To this end, I presently serve as a force analyst and legal investigator specialized in UoF. My particular niche is in applied/practical force analysis, where I provide trial-level assistance to attorneys working with incidents involving the use of force and force-related subject matter. I draw inspiration from those professionals standing at the pinnacle of specialized force-related knowledge. These include a variety of people from different professional backgrounds, such as the late James Fyfe, William Lewinski, Michael Brave, Ron Martinelli, Massad Ayoob, Andrew Branca, and many more than this 2,600 character limit will fully permit me to list. It is only with the knowledge gained by such individuals that I can even attempt to do what it is that I do. I offer consulting, expert witness, and specialized investigative services regarding the factual elements found in use of force incidents. In broad terms, this encompasses instances involving the use or threatened use of physical effort or coercion (i.e. ‘force’) plausibly deemed justifiable, excusable, or otherwise not wrongful in the eyes of the law. In most instances, this involves providing relevant professional services to clients who are representing, or themselves facing, a legal matter involving force-related issues – in cases both criminal and civil, for both plaintiffs and defense. I also recognize that in some situations the need for a force specialist can fall outside of the legal system and I offer services to these types of clients as well.
