About Christopher J. Coates

As a JavaScript developer at Stanford University, I colaborated with the research team to enhance UI/UX design and functionality for initiatives supporting juveniles transitioning from detention and foster care. This furthered my experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, responsive web design and Quality Assurance (QA). My freelance software testing experience continues to refine my skills in test case development, bug/defect tracking and both manual and automated testing. Graduating Magna Cum Laude in Computer Science just before tools like ChatGPT emerged ensured I developed a solid foundation in coding, problem-solving and critical thinking. I've kept pace with the latest AI advancements, including prompt engineering and machine learning, to enhance my workflow. At Rhode Island College, I collaborated with researchers to format peer-reviewed research manuscripts for online publication, design and optimize custom Qualtrics surveys using JavaScript while also analyzing data and documenting technical processes. Years of web design experience for notable musicians like international jazz saxophonist Greg Abate led to increased sales, bookings and fan engagement. During the pandemic, I pivoted my passion project, ProvBeats, into a global livestreaming platform connecting local musicians with fans worldwide. When I'm not refining my skills in blockchain and AI, I enjoy supporting local music. A lifelong learner, open to web development and QA roles—let’s connect!
