About Christopher James

As an IT project leader at New York University (NYU), I oversee the IT department of the University Relations and Public Affairs (URPA) division, which supports its 90+ staff members with a range of technology solutions and services. I have more than six years of experience in this role, and more than 25 years of combined experience in media relations and IT systems administration at NYU. I am perusing master's degree in cybersecurity from Georgia Institute of Technology; I have master's degree in information systems from NYU. I am also a certified information systems auditor and a LEED green associate. I have co-authored a publication on green growth and awareness initiatives at NYU, and received the Distinguished Administrator Award in 2016. My core competencies include strategic communications, public relations, social networking, IT project management, cybersecurity, and sustainability. I am passionate about enhancing the IT infrastructure and security of URPA, and contributing to the environmental and social impact of NYU.
