About Christopher Kalie

With almost 17 years of ESL teaching experience in South Korea and 6 years in brand marketing in South Africa, I bring a pretty unique set of skills to the table! My journey has been all about helping people or brands find their respective voices. From those first adorable "hellos" of 3-year-olds to guiding elementary school students and seasoned professionals – it has been amazing. I've had opportunities to tutor English to some brilliant executives and research engineers at Samsung for 3 years, along with professionals from all sorts of backgrounds (shipbuilders, marketers, and even a former mayor!).Working with such a diverse range of people has taught me a lot – how to be adaptable, to be patient, and to really understand how people learn languages differently. My time in South Korea showed me the importance of making learning dynamic and engaging. Whether it's those early sparks of language learning or helping professionals polish their skills, I always try to personalize my approach and find innovative ways to teach. I truly believe in tapping into a student's own motivation and helping them develop a "keep growing" mindset – it's the key to becoming a lifelong language learner. My background in brand marketing has also been a huge asset. It's sharpened my ability to tell stories that connect and communicate with different audiences. I love bringing those real-world examples and a bit of cultural insight into my English lessons – it makes them so much more relatable!I'm excited to use my passion for teaching English and my marketing experience to help a forward-thinking organization. My goal is to nurture linguistic and cultural fluency, empowering students or professionals to become confident communicators with a global outlook. I know my years of experience teaching across all levels, along with my ability to weave in a marketing perspective, can create really successful and lasting results.
