About Christopher Kastner

8+ years of operations and maintenance experience working in rural and municipal water treatment plants. My first 2.5 years of water treatment operator, and plant maintenance, experience were with the Oglala Sioux Tribe's 13.2MGD, conventional Mni Wiconi Water Treatment Plant, which produced high quality drinking water to customers across 12,500 sq. miles of distribution area - almost 1/6 the size of South Dakota! After 2.5 years at the Mni Wiconi WTP, I took an operations position at the 5.4 MGD, lime-softening municipal water treatment plant for the city of Fairmont, MN, where I'm still currently employed. I currently hold a Class B Water Supply Systems Operator certification from the state of Minnesota. I'm tenacious and strive to do my very best each and every day in all facets of my life, both at home and at work.I enjoy playing music, spending time in the outdoors either hunting or fishing, playing outside with my pups Molly and JD, rooting for my Denver Broncos during football season, and spending time with family and friends. Proud member of the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe.
