About Christopher Key

My career in the film industry began 18 years ago when I volunteered to work as an EPK/Making-of camera operator for Vertigo Films, one of the most successful independent film production & distribution companies in the UK. This soon evolved to a full-time position as their in-house editor where over the course of 6+ years I worked on a broad range of projects and content within the Creative Department, including theatrical trailers, web trailers, promos for web, TV & cinema, EPK’s, showreels for internal business and public use, sizzle/pitch/mood/presentation reels, spot commercials and featurettes for web, home video & TV. Projects I worked on during my time at Vertigo Films include Gareth Edward's debut feature "Monsters"(2010), the UK box office number-one "StreetDance 3D"(2010) and Nick Love's modern retelling of classic 70's show "The Sweeney"(2012). After several years I moved to MPC, one of the biggest and most successful visual effects companies in the world. I worked as a VFX Editor and gained credits on projects such as Michael Bay’s "Transformers: The Last Knight"(2017), Tim Burton’s "Dumbo"(2019), Thea Sharrock’s "The One and Only Ivan"(2020) and Alfonso Cuarón's multiple Oscar winning “Roma"(2018). In recent years my editorial career has moved towards TV projects such as Netflix’s "Fool Me Once"(2024), season 2 of Amazon's "The Devil's Hour"(2024) and the 60th Anniversary Specials of "Doctor Who".
