About Christopher Klaft

Over a decade of experience in the water/wastewater construction industry in Michigan for clients such as City of Ann Arbor, West Bloomfield Township, City of Warren and Great Lakes Water Authority managing an array of projects including full wastewater treatment plant reconstruction/replacement, wastewater lift station construction, raw water pumping stations for drinking water treatment, yard piping and transmission main improvements, drinking water treatment plant upgrades and the design & construction of a drink water treatment pilot plant. With an engineering background I work to understand not only a particular project scope but also how the project delivery integrates with existing plant processes, coordinating with other on-going work at those sites and bring practical perspective to the forefront of the project stakeholders. I’ve worked as a GC and a subcontractor to a GC and consultants. My primary focus however has been project management & delivery from a self-perform & general contracting role. This includes but is not limited to cost & schedule development & implementation, startup and commissioning of water/wastewater treatment equipment & plants as well as project turnover and closeout. My approach to project management is rooted in strong team communication and a listen first approach, bringing together client objectives, contractor goals and engineering requirements to deliver a project successfully.
