About Christopher Letsoele

I am a passionate Earth Scientist, who has an eye for detail. I tend to see what others do no see, and that has made me to add value in every organisation I have been involved in. I am a value- and goal driven. I have been actively, and intimately involved, and practicing in the field of geosciences for the past 15 years. I have been involved in multi-commodity mining from development of new projects, through to production, thereby gaining valuable insight into the mining value chain. My in-depth knowledge in many aspects of geosciences such as geochemistry, mineralogy, and geophysics, has enabled me to serve in diverse roles in the organisations I have been privileged to work for. The underpinning focus of the roles I have been tasked with in the organisations I have worked for, included translating,and aligning business units directly under my leadership, to the overarching organisational strategy. I have served in several management positions, responsible for leading teams; performance management; performance evaluation; staff training, development, and coaching; business optimisation through innovation, identifying new business opportunities, as well as implementing and managing all financial aspects of the business unit(s). I have complemented the above skills by acquiring an BSc (Hons: Geology) degree, an Management Development Program (MDP) qualification, SACNASP (Pr.Sci.Nat), as well as Master of Science (MSc:Geology) from the University of Pretoria. Currently reading for a PhD at University Of Witwatersrand Current areas of responsibility :Mineral Reaource /Reserves estimation, Geostastistic and Competent Person reporting.
