About Christopher Lyu

I have over 30 years of diverse research, project management, and business development experience. Throughout my career, I have conducted/managed more than 50 research projects/contracts, which included health surveillance, epidemiological, environmental, and human exposure assessment studies. Many of these studies/projects were unique, complex, and full of challenges. I really enjoyed working with multi-disciplinary expert teams on developing innovative solutions for the challenges of each research project. I have extensive training and experience in capture planning and proposal development from working in the contract research industry for about 27 years. It’s been very satisfying that I can write a proposal, win a contract, and run a research project from begin to the end. Prior to working in the contract research industry, I worked about 5 years for a Texas state agency as a project officer and was responsible for a statewide program evaluation research project. As a result of my experience in both the private and public sectors, I have developed a deeper understanding of the proposal and procurement process. I am passionate about the work that contributes to a healthier environment and improvement of public health.
