About Christopher Marchiniak

My career began with corrections helping to maintain the security of the public by preventing criminals from escaping prison. After three years of corrections work, I decided I wanted to make an impact on younger people’s lives. Primarily children. Three years working in a state prison puts a lot in perspective. I worked in the Direct Care field working at a Residential Treatment Center for Special Needs, Child Protective Service Children, and behavior problem children. I was entrusted to teach daily living skills, help manage their behavior issues which is sometimes violent, participate in daily activities with them as a family would, and basically, be the parent they never had. I worked in this career for three years. After three years, I decided to expand my skills and look for a new career path. I applied to the Transportation Security Administration where I started out as a Transportation Security Officer in 2017 while working my way up the ranks to Lead Transportation Security Officer in 2019 and now Supervisory Transportation Security Officer which I promoted to in 2022.
