About Christopher Matei

Helping companies get their message out to community through the social media is something that has truly captured my interest. While every sector is unique, the need to reach and engage each target audience remains the single constant. Success pivots on common-sense storytelling that adds value—helping organizations to align their brand and not only drive customers to the site but generate action that meaningfully advances the business is what I get a kick out of. My background and education adds to my ability to reach out to a diverse group of people and create content that resonates with them. I have successfully completed the UBC Certificate in Digital Content and Communication, and have a Certificate in Advanced Music and Production and Engineering from Nimbus School of Recording and Media as well as a BA from Queens University in History. During my education the one constant has been my focus on writing and contributing to different outlets, both creative and academic. While attending university, I was the editor for the culture and media section of Diatribe Magazine. Today, I manage the online presence for two financial organizations: Merchant Advance Capital Limited and Progressa. I have been responsible for significant growth and engagement, driving traffic by creating a consistent social media presence, strategy, positioning, content curation, bi-weekly blog posts, analytics monitoring and reporting, producing thrice weekly blogs.'
