About Christopher McCollum

I am currently a full time student at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Cellular & Molecular Biology with a Minor in Business Adminstration. I plan to pursue either a Masters degree in Health Care Administration, enroll in Medical school, or enlist in the Armed Forces as an officer upon graduation. I am very active both on and off campus. I am currently the Public Relations Advisor for Delta Tau Delta Fraternity at the University of Tennessee, this is a chapter that I helped start and have the honor of being considered a founding father. I also have held positions such as Public Relations Chairman, Philanthropy Chairman, and Pledge Class Treasurer for my Fraternity. On campus I am also a member of Student Government and hold the position of Student Commuter Senator. I am a member of the New Student Relations Committee as a branch of Student Services and I sit on the Board of Libraries Committee. Off campus I take part in many different community service organizations and I have been a part of several philanthropic projects. These include mission trips through my church to New Orleans, New York, and Chicago; and also with the Southern Baptist Convention to places such as Hawaii. I also am involved with the Non-profit Organization Show Hope and have taken medical mission trips to China. As for local community service organizations, I am involved with Second Harvest Food Bank, Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, and the Ronald McDonald House.
