About Christopher McKee

Christopher (Chris) McKee was recently hired as the Director of Business Operations for the Northwest Local School District. From July of 2002 to August of 2015, Chris was the Director of Operations for the Bethel-Tate Local School District. Chris was originally hired in 2002 as the District’s Facilities Director. He was responsible for the daily operations of the 1700+ student, 200+ staff, K-12 public school district. His main responsibilities included the budgeting and managing of all Information Technology, maintenance and custodial functions for the sq./ft. of classroom/office space and 120 acres of property. He was also responsible, in part or in whole, for the district’s Strategic/Capital Improvement Plan, Workers’ Compensation Program, Transitional Work Program, Health and Safety Program, Security, Crisis Management Plan, AHERA Plan, Energy Management, the integration, programming and management/maintenance of all intercom, fire, security (burglar, card access, CCTV), and telephone systems. He was also key in the negotiating, procurement and implementation of many district contracts, including money saving print management systems, electronic data filing/storage systems and other forms of software/system integration. Chris has a diverse background in project management, electrical engineering, procurement, and property management having spent 16 years in the construction industry prior to his tenyor at Bethel-Tate. He is a Certified Building Operator as well as a licensed electrician. He studied electrical engineering at Northern Kentucky University and electrical engineering technology at the University of Cincinnati. While many in his position would consider this a job, Chris has a vested interest in the success and prosperity of the school district, its employees and students. Not only does he and his family reside in the district, he, along with several members of his family, is a BTHS alumni.
