About Christopher Menold

I love not knowing what’s coming next. In my military career, the needs of the service often drove me to an unexpected next assignment. I found I enjoyed rapidly mastering a new task and making contributions before the next challenge came down the pike. I helped work within diverse teams to field IT capabilities, found joy in teaching and leading others, put a production process back on track with no additional resources, and even got to fly in support of combat. As a consultant hired for my Air Force experience, the needs of my company guided me into rewarding new tasks. I sharpened my analytical capabilities while managing requirements, gained experience working in large IT programs, envisioned operational opportunities in new technologies, designed a help desk, and I most recently delved into Knowledge Management. When my clients don’t see what’s coming next, it’s a great feeling to help them overcome the challenge. Two years ago the contracted training plan for my client’s new IT system fell apart at the last minute. My team offered our support based on my training background, but I also had to master the system. Within a month I was able to deliver a tailored in-person initial training course for 200+ users. Executing the course with meager resources involved weeks away from my home, but strong positive course feedback proved it was worth the effort. We avoided costly program delays, shortened training time from 5 to 3 days and made my client shine. There’s great satisfaction in overcoming what’s coming next.
