About Christopher Morabito

I lead the UX teams responsible for the Google Search experience, including the Search Results Page, Image Viewer, Discover Feed, and AI/LLM bets.–I joined Google in 2015 to create a visual design practice for Knowledge UX (Search, Maps, and Assistant). We built the teams, processes, and strategy needed to advance these experiences from utility to desirability. We launched the first Nest Hub hardware devices, the Discover Feed, and numerous enhancements to Search Results.We also built a thriving culture of design that attracted diverse creative thinkers from around the world. The energy of our studio now extends well beyond the walls of Google with events, lecture series, and annual editorial publications recognized by the Type Directors Club, The Art Directors Club, and The Society of Typographic Arts.For the past few years I have led the UX teams responsible for the core Search experience. I’m fortunate to work on what I believe is an important design problem with many of the best designers and engineers in the world.Earlier in my career, I worked as a graphic designer for cultural institutions making books and other printed collateral. My work has been featured in The New York Times, The Walker Art Center, and The Design Museum London. From 2011-2014 I was an adjunct faculty member at Art Center College of Design.I am passionate about the role design can play in imagining, crafting, refining, and shipping products people love.
