I have been a husband for 24 years to my high school sweetheart, am a father to four wonderful children, and have a passion for serving others. I have served in the military for 10 years (U.S. Army and the Oregon Air National Guard), have worked in law enforcement as a Reserve Police Officer, and have been a federally licensed locomotive conductor and engineer for nearly 20 years with BNSF Railway. I have worked as the Site Safety Team Leader with BNSF in Klamath Falls, OR which allowed me to bridge a gap between labor and management as a safety advocate for over six years. I have served in a variety of positions within my union from Legislative Representative and Vice Chairman of the Oregon State Legislative Board (ORSLB) and currently serve as the Chairman of the ORSLB where I represent the safety and health and welfare of over 300 railroaders in the beautiful state of Oregon. Both service and safety have been a passion and I have used the many opportunities I have been blessed with to grow as a leader and person. I am a lifelong learner focused on integrity and compassion.
