Background

About Christopher Obrien

With over seven years of engineering and consulting experience in the railway sector, I have developed a strong expertise in infrastructure development, project management, and technical presentation. As a civil railway engineer and a Professional Engineer (PE) certified by Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, I have led and contributed to several feasibility studies, design projects, and bid proposals for public and private clients across North America, Africa, and Asia. In my previous role at SYSTRA Canada, I managed a structural design team that delivered innovative and cost-effective solutions for railway infrastructure projects, resulting in significant savings in capital expenditures, operational efficiency, and construction timelines. I also conducted technical briefings and project bid presentations to senior client management, securing three strategic projects with local and international customers. As a recent MBA graduate from INSEAD, I aspire to continue making meaningful contributions to the development of green and sustainable infrastructure for the global community.
