About Christopher Oreilley

Mr. O’Reilley is a proven Project Manager, Program Manager, technical leader, and people manager and has served in these roles in both the energy and defense spaces. Mr. O’Reilley is currently a Senior Technical Staff Member and serving as Interim Group Lead for the Power Systems Resilience Group. He also is serving as Principal Investigator on several energy integration and resilience projects / R&D efforts both within the group and groups, including Waterpower. Prior to joining ORNL, he served as Portfolio Manager for CSRA’s (A GDIT Company and formerly SRA and SENTECH) Energy Analysis and Sustainable Operations group and brings a breadth and depth of program management, technical and strategic approaches to each program and project having worked across DOE office including (ERE and OE and other Federal agencies including EPA, VA, GSA, and DOD). Prior to GDIT, he was a Systems engineering manager within Lockheed Martin’s Systems Integration Group. He brings extensive experience in working with DOE and other federal, state, and local organizations including: VA, GSA, other National Labs and worked in collaboration with NRECA, APPA, EPRI and other R&D related organizations in addressing energy challenges through a strong lens of systems engineering and integration within a collaborative environment. His expertise includes utility automation, utility communication, SCADA and ICS systems, metering, smart grid / microgrid, renewable technologies, telecommunication technologies, cyber architectures and strategies (especially as applied to emerging applications), data analysis and integration, business planning / cost benefit analysis, and solution implementation oversight. Through these roles, he has led or been a lead for numerous proposals and business development efforts and been a resource to provide vision, strategic direction, and the development of vision, strategy, and relationship building across groups to meet common objectives.
