About Christopher Ortiz

As an employee, I put front and center an enthusiastic, customer service-oriented approach towards my work, whether it be guiding students and faculty in an office or managing data and projects for the employer. I've served almost 10 years in the Administrative realm and continue to enhance my organizational and customer service skills in busy environments. My writing experience stems from over ten years as a screenwriter, 5 years as a freelance script doctor for up-and-coming writers and filmmakers, and several years as a web content writer for various film-concentrated websites. I pursued a Bachelor in the Arts in Film Studies, with a minor in Philosophy, while writing various short and feature films, but I also dabbed in mobile game writing, musical story development, and web-series spec writing. I've since written and directed 4 short films. I even volunteered as a screenwriting consultant for Film Production majors when I served three years at my alma mater's Film Department as an Administrative Assistant. Working as an independent film producer and director allows me to thrive in managing a team of experts to create socially-influential and cautionary stories for digital media, and use that to enhance my writing, communication and team-building and cooperation skills for my long-term goals of being a professional writer, director and story editor for major entertainment companies. All in all, I always serve with enthusiastic energy and a glass half-full mentality regardless of my occupation. These coincide with my intense passion for optimism and truth in media content, but I carry with me that same passion to the environment in which I serve in.
