About Christopher Pettengell

Trained Surgeon and Chief Medical Officer of Pentavere, a digital health AI company with a breakthrough artificial intelligence engine that dramatically accelerates the time to discovery of insights buried in clinical text data. A passionate believer in the importance of good health, I seek to engage with stakeholders at all levels to achieve outstanding results for patients. As a Surgical Lead at Imperial College I worked with many tech and AI companies, including Google DeepMind, to elevate outcomes research, but was continuously frustrated with the inability to generate the outcomes data needed to help patients. After collaborating with Pentavere and achieving results for patients, I decided to leave clinical practice and move my family from London to Toronto to become Pentavere’s Chief Medical Officer. At Pentavere, I work with a diverse team of clinicians, technologists, scientists, engineers, and businesspeople passionate about unlocking the power of data in healthcare to develop breakthrough health solutions. Together, we are using AI to solve some of healthcare’s biggest challenges including accelerating patient identification, uncovering unmet medical needs, and measuring outcomes.
