About Christopher Rowley

I am an Assistant Professor at McMaster University. The research in my lab aims to develop and optimize MRI scans to improve image quality and to decrease acquisition time. I work with clinicians, veterinary technicians, professors, and students to ensure efficient execution of scientific projects. My scientific work has made me proficient in MATLAB, but I also have experience with other programming languages such as C++, python, bash, and R. I am an effective communicator of scientific knowledge and enjoy sharing this knowledge with others. In my free time you will likely find me riding my bike, and I like to inspire others to push the boundaries they have built for themselves. My passion for cycling has provided me some managerial experience, where I was the president of the McMaster Cycling Club for several years, and I ran an elite cycling team in Ontario for a few more years after that while completing my PhD. I keep this passion going in the winter months by teaching spin classes, which has helped add to my communication and leadership skills.
