About Christopher Rubin

Christopher has a broad range of experiences in the bicycle industry. The former competitive cyclist has been an IBD owner and retail manager, a warranty manager for an international bike brand, and a technical rep and sponsorship coordinator for a pedal manufacturer. He is currently an inside sales manager for a micromobility company, and has worked in bicycle event management for national charity organizations, produced a variety of races and expos, and managed a women’s professional cycling team. Christopher was a contributor to the Bicycle Retailer “State of Retail” column and has experience copy-writing for a national bike brand and extensive experience in producing social media content within the cycling industry. He has a BS in Kinesiology and an MA in Sport Management.He has a passion to build a better cycling community both at home and across the country, and create opportunities for more people to enjoy their bikes safely. This community effort is designed to help the bicycle industry, retailers, cyclist of all ages, and local governments by increasing areas to ride, including trails, paths, and designed shared spaces and creating engagement between advocacy, business, and the community.Christopher’s other passion when not on two wheels, is participating in community theatre. He has performed in numerous plays and musicals throughout Ventura County, directed a play, volunteered as a marketing director for a community theatre and served on the board of a theatre fundraising foundation.Christopher uses his knowledge and experience of building strong teams to create positive and beneficial experiences whether it be for sport or the arts, and shares his passions in meaningful one-on-one meetings, in group presentations, and on the stage.Specialties: Marketing, social media, writing, sales and operations management, business development, merchandising, public speaking, bicycle mechanics, performance, and coaching.
