About Christopher Sanchez

I graduated from the University of Connecticut (Go Huskies!) in 2012 with a B.S. in Accounting and a certificate in Management of Information Systems. At UConn I was very involved on campus and held multiple leadership roles, including being a mentor for first generation college students, running a music organization which raised money for important causes, being an active member of my fraternity and rowing for the University of Connecticut's NCAA Novice Crew team (Spring 2012). I started my professional career as a tax accountant primarily focused on Corporate Tax returns and tax provision work and in 2015 joined Barclays Capital as a Business Analyst within their change management function. In 2017 I was promoted to Assistant Vice President (Associate) and in 2018 I completed my CPA license. My work at Barclays involves leading projects as both an analyst and a project manager and implementing or improving technology internally for both cost and regulatory purposes. Most recently I helped the firm become compliant with a major tax law and helped a team which built custom tax technology from scratch. Last but not least, I love to give back and am extremely involved at Barclays through mentoring, planning community service events and team building. I love using my skills for good and am passionate about leaving things better than the ways in which I found them!
